More than a few of you have been telling me about having to clean out your parents’ houses of a crazy amount of “treasures”. And I’ve been wondering about hosting a party to get you all together.

We could have contests for who found the most interesting thing (war ration card?). Or the most useless or dangerous thing (98-year-old motor oil?).

And most of all, we could have a laugh and blow off a little steam.

I’m thinking of calling it Hoarder Happy Hour. Like an al-Anon group for family members of hoarders. Except without twelve steps and with cocktails.
